DESCRIPTION: This is a 2D film completed completely by myself. I started with brainstorming ideas for my film. Once I came up with the idea and the audience I was intending to hit I created the story board, character designs, and environment designs. Then, I moved onto digitizing everything in Illustrator. Finally, I created puppeted rigs for my characters and animated the film. Lastly, I added the sound effects and music! This film took my over 6 months to complete.

 

TITLE: Heartless Motion Graphics Video

DESCRIPTION: I used Adobe After Effects to create a music video to Heartless by Diplo. I created these motion graphics by animating text and a few visual effects.

DESCRIPTION: A narrative dialogue. This character was created using Adobe Illustrator and then imported into Adobe After Effects where she was animated.

 

TITLE: Bouncing Ball Obstacle

DESCRIPTION: For this study I used Adobe After Effects to make a bouncing ball environment. First, I made a background composition composing the set of obstacles the ball was going to encounter. Then, I created the ball. Finally, I animated the ball to go through the obstacle course incorporating squash and stretch.

 

TITLE: Weight Study

DESCRIPTION: For this study I used Harmony to create a character that picks up a box and throws it down onto the floor. I wanted the character to show a lot of anticipation and exaggerated movements. I also wanted it to seem like the box was heavy and had a lot of weight in it.

 

TITLE: Walk Cycle

DESCRIPTION: For this study I used Harmony to create a walk cycle. I created a very exaggerated cute walk with the character.

 

TITLE: Spidy

DESCRIPTION: I rotoscoped the scene from the Amazing Spider Man. This assignment was very time consuming, but I was very satisfied with how it came out, especially the spider web reaching out. I had to hand draw each frame to achieve the look I wanted. There are a total of 240 frames.

 

TITLE: Stop Motion Bouncing Balls

DESCRIPTION: I made the balls out of construction paper. The hardest part of this project was keeping track of all the balls; however, the onion skin in Dragon Frame helped out a lot.

DESCRIPTION: This stop motion project was a Claymation inspired by Pez. The sound was all made with our voices being recorded. The end of the film incorporates a freeze frame element. This was a collaborative project.
